Topeka, KS – The Senate passed a gerrymandered Congressional map that will crack Black and Hispanic voters from the Kansas City urban center into a more conservative, rural district. This was done quickly, with minimal opportunity for public input, and against the recorded requests of hundreds of pieces of public testimony received during the 2021 redistricting listening tour. KS Fair Maps believes that all Kansans deserve fair and equitable maps, regardless of what city they live in or what party they vote for. We call on our legislators to do what is right for Kansas and create Congressional maps that better represent the interests of all Kansans.
