Prior to working for the ACLU, Alina was involved in campaigns supporting abortion and voting rights via fellowships with Planned Parenthood Great Plains and Loud Light. She began her advocacy primarily as a speech writer and speaker for educational panels and community events. In 2022, she launched her first successful online campaign, assisting in the defeat of a proposed constitutional amendment to ban abortion in Kansas. Since then, Alina has continued to involve herself in the Kansas legislative session, advocating for trans rights and reproductive justice through grassroots lobbying.

Outside of her work at the ACLU, Alina continues to stay involved in youth-centered communications environments, volunteering with Loud Light and working part-time as an assistant speech and debate coach at Lawrence High School. In her free time, Alina enjoys making clothes, playing violin, and being with friends.
